Routine
Product Description
Routine is a first-person survival horror game set on a derelict lunar base. Players navigate an abandoned research facility, uncovering the fate of its former inhabitants while attempting to survive against autonomous robotic threats. The game emphasizes exploration, resource management, and evasion over direct combat.
The core gameplay loop involves navigating the intricate corridors and scientific sectors of the lunar base, powered by an underlying narrative of scientific discovery and subsequent disaster. Players will encounter a variety of robotic entities, each with distinct patrol patterns and threat assessments. Interaction with the environment includes accessing computer terminals for data logs, manipulating machinery to open new pathways, and scavenging for essential resources like battery power and repair kits.
Key Features:
- Exploration: Traverse a non-linear lunar research base with interconnected zones.
- Survival Horror: Focus on evasion and environmental puzzle-solving rather than direct confrontation.
- Resource Management: Scavenge for limited battery power, repair kits, and other critical supplies to maintain equipment and progress.
- Environmental Storytelling: Uncover the events leading to the base's abandonment through data logs, audio recordings, and visual cues.
- Persistent Threats: Encounter autonomous robotic entities with varied behaviors and threat levels, requiring strategic avoidance.
The game features an authentic retro-futuristic aesthetic, drawing inspiration from 1980s science fiction. Visuals and sound design contribute to an atmosphere of isolation and unease, enhancing the survival horror experience. Routine offers a challenging and atmospheric journey through a forgotten outpost on the moon.
