1. From the home screen, open Settings, then Users and Accounts.
2. Select Account, then Payment and Subscriptions.
3. Choose Redeem Codes, enter your 12-character code and confirm.

On PS4

1. Open the PlayStation Store from the home screen.
2. Scroll down the side menu and select Redeem Codes.
3. Enter the code and confirm.

In a browser

Sign in to your PlayStation account on the web, open the redemption page, enter the code and confirm. The content downloads to your console next time you sign in.

Why the region matters so much on PlayStation

PSN codes are strictly regional. A code for the European store only works on an account registered in a European country. A cheap code sourced from another region will be rejected outright.

Unlike some platforms, PlayStation does not let you casually switch account regions — you would need an entirely new account, which means losing access to your existing library on that account.

This is why every PSN product on our store shows its activation region before you pay. A code you cannot redeem is worth nothing, no matter how low the price looked.

Common errors

• "The code you entered is not valid" — a typo, or a code intended for a different regional store.
• "This code has already been used" — the code was redeemed previously. Contact us immediately if this happens with one of our keys.
• "This code cannot be redeemed by your account" — region mismatch between the code and your account.

De ce contează atât de mult regiunea pe PlayStation

Codurile PSN sunt strict regionale. Un cod pentru magazinul european funcționează doar pe un cont înregistrat într-o țară europeană. Un cod ieftin dintr-o altă regiune va fi respins direct.
