Cursed to Golf (PC) - GOG.COM Key - GLOBAL

Product Overview

Cursed to Golf is a golf-like, 2D roguelike developed by Chuhai Labs and published by Thunderful Publishing. Players control The COLFED, a professional golfer trapped in Golf Purgatory after a lightning strike. The objective is to escape purgatory by conquering a series of par-themed boss battles and golf courses, ultimately returning to the land of the living. The game features a pixel-art aesthetic and turn-based gameplay.

Core Mechanics

Golf Gameplay

• Standard golf rules apply: players hit a ball towards a hole within a set number of strokes (par).
• Each hole is a self-contained level with obstacles and environmental hazards.
• Players have a limited number of strokes per hole; exceeding this limit results in a loss of a "shot" from a persistent shot counter.
• Running out of total shots ends the run, sending the player back to the beginning of Golf Purgatory.

Roguelike Elements

• Procedurally generated holes and course layouts ensure unique playthroughs.
• Permanent death: failure to complete a run sends the player back to the first hole.
• Discover and unlock a variety of "Ace Cards" which grant special abilities or modifiers during a run.
• Ace Cards are single-use and can dramatically alter gameplay, allowing for strategic depth.

Progression and Features

• Over 70 unique holes designed across four biomes.
• More than 80 Ace Cards to collect and utilize.
• A cast of "legendary ghostly golfers" serve as bosses, each with unique challenges.
• Collectable cash within levels to purchase new Ace Cards or retrieve lost ones.
• Practice mode available to hone skills on individual holes.
