Product Overview
WILD HEARTS is a combat-focused action game set in Azuma, a fantasy world inspired by feudal Japan. Players assume the role of a hunter tasked with confronting the Kemono, giant creatures infused with the power of nature. The game features a primary gameplay loop centered around tracking, engaging, and defeating these Kemono.
Gameplay Mechanics
Combat is a core element, utilizing a variety of weapon types. Players can craft and upgrade weapons and armor using materials gathered from the environment and defeated Kemono. A key mechanic involves the Karakuri, ancient technology that allows for on-demand construction of various structures during combat. These Karakuri can be used for offensive maneuvers, defensive strategies, or traversal. For example, Karakuri can manifest as springboards for aerial attacks or as protective walls.
Multiplayer & Progression
WILD HEARTS supports cooperative multiplayer, allowing up to three players to hunt Kemono together. The game incorporates a progression system tied to both character development and equipment enhancement. Players unlock new weapon types and Karakuri blueprints as they advance, enabling them to tackle increasingly formidable Kemono. The narrative unfolds through a series of quests and encounters, detailing the origins of the Kemono and the hunter's role in Azuma. The game emphasizes strategic preparation before hunts, requiring players to consider Kemono weaknesses and environmental factors.
