Gameplay Mechanics
COCOON is a puzzle adventure game. Players control an unnamed protagonist capable of carrying and utilizing orbs, which represent entire worlds. The core mechanic involves *world-hopping*: entering and exiting these orbs to navigate environments and solve puzzles. Each orb possesses a unique ability that can be activated to manipulate the environment or interact with other orbs. For example, one orb might reveal hidden pathways, while another could activate machinery.
World Design & Progression
The game features interconnected alien landscapes, often characterized by organic architecture and mechanical elements. Progression typically involves solving environmental puzzles to unlock new areas or activate dormant mechanisms. Players will encounter a variety of contraptions and alien lifeforms that serve as obstacles or puzzle components. The game's narrative is primarily delivered through environmental storytelling and visual cues rather than explicit dialogue or text.
